The Living Desert: Zoo and botanical gardens is open year round with different summer and winter hours. After September 1, they will be open 7 days a week 9:00am to 5:00pm. For summer hours see the ad above.  For more information on The Living Desert visit www.livingdesert.org.

Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument: Visitors Center, book store, and desert gardens.  The National Monument is open daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm and is located at 51-500 Hwy 74 in Palm Desert.  For more information you can call 760-862-9984.

College of the Desert Street Fair: The Street Fair is the home of a Farmers' market, vendor booths, and food booths all selling great items at affordable prices.  The Street Fair is open every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to noon and is located at the corner of Fred Waring Dr. and Monterey Ave in Palm Desert. The Wine & Music Concert Series at the Gardens on El Paseo: This weekly event raises funds for different charities. Visit The Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert every Saturday evening to enjoy the festivities.  The events start at 5:30 pm with a wine and cheese reception followed by a concert.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway: The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway starts at the Valley Station and carries it's passengers up in a rotating cable car 6,000 feet to the Mountain Station on Mount San Jacinto.  Enjoy the amazing views of the entire Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains on the tram car as well as at the top of the mountain.  At the top of the mountain guest can also enjoy hiking, camping, and restaraunts.  Valley Station is located off of Hwy 111 and Tramway Road in Palm Springs. Childrens' Discovery Museum: Take the kids to enjoy all the excitement the Children's Discovery Museum has to offer.  They can enjoy fun hands-on activities and much more! The Discovery Museum is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday and and noon to 5:00pm on Sunday.  The museum is located at 71-701 Gerald Ford Dr. in Rancho Mirage.
